Raúl Durán
Hey there, it’s Raúl Durán, and no worries, I will keep this short: I’m a Spanish photographer living in Budapest for more than a decade. Before having a camera I used to draw professionally. A younger version of me studied in ESDIP (Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional) in Madrid back in the early 2000s. I was lucky to work in several areas involving drawing, from storyboarding, text and children’s books, and even a couple of animated short films. One day I got a camera and started to play with it. It turned out that I quite enjoyed it and kept doing it and learning, and even better, some people wanted me to take photos of them! So that’s what I do nowadays. I focus a lot on dance and ballet photography, but if you’ve seen my portfolio, you’ll see that I also work a lot doing portraits and commercial work.
Raul is very kind, nice and friendly person, professional and creative! I’m always enjoying the process of shooting and the result is amazing as well! His pictures are full of colours, perfect composition and unique style!

He knew all the best spots and took many pictures, showing me the photos as we went along to make sure I was happy with them before moving on. It was such a fun experience and one of my favorite memories in Budapest - it felt like walking around with a friend. Also, the photos are beautiful and I really love the way they turned out.
